Update
This Content and Asset Policy was last updated on: April 02nd, 2017.
Should we update, amend or make any changes to our privacy policy, those changes will be posted here.
Storage of Content and Assets
HIVE-RD LLP needs to maintain project-related 3D models and render files so that we are able to apply requested alterations to, create derivatives of, or produce new products from existing client[1] materials, and only on behalf of the client associated with that project. Client projects and assets will not be given to third-party sources, nor will derivatives be used in projects for other clients.
Clients who have more than one project associated with them may request that we transfer specified assets from one associated project to another. We will not transfer project-specific assets between projects if the clients associated with those projects are not the same.
If a client is defined as an organisation, then different named individuals within that organisation may make these requests. Written online communications from different individuals within an organisation should originate from a source that is clearly from the organisation in question. An email, for example, would have a consistent domain name across individuals [, ].
HIVE-RD LLP will occasionally reuse its own generic graphical assets (3D furniture, for example) to populate a scene / render image / 3D product for a client. Depiction and reuse of these assets do not compromise any agreements between the client and HIVE-RD LLP.
HIVE-RD LLP does not own or control the use of or depiction of these reusable assets in finalised images released to and possessed by the client, and the client is free to depict or use the final images or products as they wish.
Asset Storage Locations
Assets and projects are to be stored and produced on machines located at the HIVE-RD LLP business address (found in the footer of this page). Finalised products may only be uploaded and hosted on server space assigned to HIVE-RD LLP if this is part of an agreement with a client (for example, the client wishes us to host a 3D viewer online). We will not upload, host, display or share client projects unless the client has given clear written permission authorising these actions. Finalised imagery, or other finalised products possessed by the client may be depicted, hosted or transferred by the client to wherever the client chooses. HIVE-RD LLP does not claim any control or ownership of finalised product, once full payment for those products has been received.
Third-party storage services may be used to host servers for various 3D virtual world solutions, as well as to host downloadable assets, and patching services.
Deletion of Assets
Unless the client specifies, we are not obliged to maintain files and assets related to a project after that project has completed. We will not actively delete completed projects unless a client specifies that these actions are to be taken. Deletion of project assets will make it impossible for subsequent derivatives and alterations to be made to that project’s finalised products.
Interactive 3D Products and Assets
We offer to host Interactive 3D products that we produce on behalf of clients. We reserve the right to remove the hosted files or servers once the agreed operational period has expired. We also reserve the right to temporarily deactivate such services in the case of software patching and / or technical assistance.
Passwords
If we provide a service with password protection, only the client may receive the initial password, and only the client may request the password be changed. If a client is defined as an organisation, then different named (and previously specified) individuals within that organisation may make these requests. Written online communications from different individuals within an organisation should originate from a source that is clearly from the organisation in question. An email, for example, would have a consistent domain name across individuals [, ].
Specific Alterations to these Policies
If a written agreement between HIVE-RD LLP and a client is made, and specified rules in this document are altered, then this document’s rules are superseded by any new or modified rules specified in the new agreement, for the duration of that agreement’s related project.
Consent
Unless a client specifies otherwise, they consent to our asset and content policies.
