Once you are comfortable moving around with the basic controls, you can try to learn more advanced techniques that will help you move around the 3D world more quickly.
Advanced avatar movement:
You can hit Space to jump.
You can hold C to crouch.
You can hold Shift and a movement key to run.
You can therefore hold Shift and a movement key to run, and also hit Space to jump with momentum in a particular direction.
You can also hold Shift and a movement key to run, and then hit C to slide along the floor with momentum in a particular direction. Instead of pressing C, if you hold C whilst running, you will slide and then transition into crouch-walking instead of standing and walking. Let go of C to stand as normal.
When you are airborne, you can control your avatar’s fall to a degree by using the movement keys.
You can hold both mouse buttons down to auto walk forwards. This can be combined with holding Shift down to run.
You can hold Left CTRL + and then do a left click on the ground to teleport to that location on the ground.
You can hold Left CTRL + and then do a right click on the ground to auto-walk to that spot.
You can choose to have the mouse movement rotate the avatar when in 3rd person (you will find the option in the settings menu).
